About Excel Rx
Yes. We are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council under number 9013248. You can check this yourself on the register of pharmacies at pharmacyregulation.org. Our registered premises are in Cardiff and our Superintendent Pharmacist is Majd Aljeroudi.
When a company owns a pharmacy, the law requires a named pharmacist to be professionally accountable for how it operates. That is the Superintendent Pharmacist. Ours is Majd Aljeroudi, GPhC number 2231157.
No. Excel Rx is a private pharmacy. You pay for our consultations and treatments. If you would prefer NHS care, contact your GP practice or visit nhs.uk.
Excel Rx is a trading name of Excel Medicine Ltd, a company registered in Wales with company number 16920757.
The consultation
A doctor. Dr Zubair Gani Wani, registered with the General Medical Council under number 7042110, reads every consultation and decides. The questionnaire gathers information, it never makes the decision.
Yes. You can message the clinical team through your account before, during and after your consultation, and we reply within 48 hours. You can also call us on 029 2264 5305 between 9am and 6pm.
Sometimes the safest answer is no. We will tell you why in plain language and point you to the care that is right for you. You will not be charged for a medicine we have not supplied.
Your GP holds your full medical history and can see things we cannot. With your permission we write to them to say what we have supplied. You can say no, and we will record that, but our doctor will take it into account when deciding whether it is safe to treat you.
So that medicines reach the right person and are not obtained by someone else in your name. We check identity before we supply anything, and it usually takes under two minutes.
Most take five to ten minutes to complete. Our doctor reviews consultations during clinic hours and aims to respond within the same working day.
No. You can only complete a consultation for yourself. Our doctor needs to assess the person who will be taking the medicine.
Prescriptions and dispensing
No. If our doctor issues a prescription, you can choose to have it dispensed by another pharmacy. Please let us know before your order is processed.
All our medicines are sourced from licensed UK pharmaceutical wholesalers. We do not import medicines from outside the UK.
Contact us straight away through your account or call 029 2264 5305. If you feel very unwell, call 999 or go to your nearest A&E. You can also report side effects through the Yellow Card scheme at yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk.
Delivery and packaging
All orders are sent in plain, unbranded packaging. There is no mention of Excel Rx, a pharmacy, or the contents on the outside.
We use Royal Mail and DPD tracked services. You will receive tracking information once your order is dispatched.
Standard delivery takes 1 to 2 working days from dispatch. Orders approved before 2pm on a working day are usually dispatched the same day.
Pricing and payment
Prices are clearly shown for each condition and medicine before you start. The price includes the consultation, the prescription (if approved), and the medicine.
We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure payment provider, Stripe.
By law, we cannot accept returns of medicines once they have been dispensed. If your consultation is not approved, you will not be charged for the medicine. See our Terms and Conditions for full details.
Excel Rx is not an emergency service. If you need medical help quickly, call NHS 111 or contact your GP. If someone is seriously ill or injured, call 999.
